Editorial and sourcing policy
How NewsPulse chooses what it shows, how we write our own content and how we correct mistakes.
1. Choosing publishers
- We include publishers with a recognisable track record in their field: general news outlets with specialist sections, trade magazines and independent specialist sites.
- Each country edition favours publishers from that country and in its languages. When there are not enough local sources for a category, we show the international edition and say so.
- We only use public RSS feeds that publishers offer for syndication, and we only show stories that include a real image from the publisher.
- We review sources regularly and remove those that stop working, publish mostly promotional content or mislead readers.
2. How we display stories
- We show the original headline, the publisher's name, the date and a short excerpt taken from its feed. We do not rewrite headlines or generate AI summaries.
- We remove clutter such as photo credits and subscription prompts from excerpts.
- Every story links to the publisher's original article. Stories are ordered by publication date; your personalised front page puts the categories you follow first.
- The audio briefing reads headlines and excerpts from the same stories and always names the publisher.
3. Our own content
- The guides and category introductions are original texts published under the NewsPulse Editorial byline.
- They are evergreen explainers. We rely on general, widely documented facts; we avoid figures that change often and, when something depends on the country or the date, we say so.
- We do not publish invented quotes, fake testimonials or unsourced statistics. Guides are not professional advice.
- We review guides periodically and show the date of the latest update.
4. Independence and advertising
NewsPulse is funded by Google AdSense ads. Advertisers have no say in which publishers we include or how stories are ordered. We do not publish sponsored content or affiliate links. Ads are kept separate from content and are never presented as news.
5. Comments
Comments are governed by our terms. We use anti-spam limits and remove comments that break the rules.
6. Corrections and takedowns
If you find a mistake in a guide, a broken link or a problem with a source, or you are a publisher who wants to change how your content appears, contact us. We review every request and, when we correct a guide, we update its date.
